plastic bagsResins For Making Plastic Bags

Nexcycle recycles scrap plastic for making plastic bags. As a plastic recycler, we reprocess post industrial scrap for making plastic bags using the blow molding, extrusion or injection molding processes. Our main products, NPI – 04HDPE Mixed Color and NPI – 01LL/LD Mixed Color and NPI – 10PP212 Mixed Color are made from recycled scrap plastic and is well suited for making plastic bags. As a leading recycler and compounder of scrap plastic, we have an extensive supply of reycled plastic and are fully prepared to offer you the lowest cost performance solutions available.

What are Plastic Bags?
As a part of the much larger category of flexible packaging, our polyolefins are the most widely used resins for making plastic bags. Usually defined as a type of flexible packaging container made of thin, flexible, plastic bags can range from heavy duty sacks to retail shopping bags, thin garbage bags and drum liners for boxes, bins and other containers. Defined as a container for protecting and selling a product, it is the sealing methods of plastic bags that places them in high demand. Their main function is to carry or hold all types of products and to protect what they carry or to protect the surrounding environment from what they contain, i.e., chemicals and waste. The plastic bag has become so popular that it has replaced the paper bag as the packaging material of choice.

Benefits of Plastic Bags
The benefits of plastic bags are many and varied. More flexible and durable than paper, plastic also provides a better moisture and chemical barrier, higher resistance to tear propagation, and offers greater protection due to its advanced sealing properties. Plastic bags are made from light, medium and high density polyethylene, and polypropylene. Light, but strong and durable, plastic bags have made it possible to move and store more goods than ever before. And because of their advanced sealing properties, plastic bags make it possible to handle waste and other hazardous material without any threat to the surrounding environment.

Resin Properties
Key processing and physical properties for our specialty polymers and resins include melt flow index (MFI), density and izod impact properties. They are key indicators of what the melt strength and flow will be for processing. If you're looking for resin to use in blow molding, film extrusion, pipe and profile extrusion processes, then the lower the melt index, the greater the melt strength will be. If you're looking for resins for your injection molding process, then a higher melt index will mean a faster melt flow which helps to fill the mold cavities in shorter period of time.

Applications for Recyled Polypropylene
Polypropylene is one of the most versatile resins on the market.. As polypropylene suppliers, our products are used for a wide range of products including polypropylene bags, luggage, carpeting, fiber, strapping, containers, bags, packaging and tubing. Because of its unique properties, recycled polypropylene is used by a wide range of industries to create virtually an unlimited number of products. Most of these products are created using the injection molding process and include everything from household goods such as containers for yogurt, margarine, takeout meals, and deli foods. It's also used to make medicine bottles, bottle caps and closures, and bottles for ketchup and syrup. In addition to packaging, and mostly because of its light weight, polypropylene is the only bags which floats. For this reason, it is also very popular in the marine industry as pool markers and water activities.
