Polypropylene
Bags
Nexcycle Plastics recycles plastic scrap for making polypropylene bags.
As a polypropylene recycler, we recycle polypropylene for a variety of
products made using the extrusion or injection molding processes, i.e.,
polypropylene bags. Our product, NPI – 10PP212 Mixed Color
is manufactured from recycled polypropylene and is ideally suited for
making polypropylene bags. As a leading polypropylene recycler and
compounder, we have an extensive supply of polypropylene and are well placed
to offer you the lowest cost performance solutions available.
What are Polypropylene Bags?
As a part of the much larger plastic bags family, our polypropylene is one of
the most widely used resins for making plastic bags. Usually defined as a
type of flexible packaging container made of thin, flexible, polypropylene
bags are thicker and stronger than similarly constructed bags, pouches or
sachets. Polypropylene is a synthetic polymer of propylene monomers. Named
for its versatility, polypropylene is a lightweight thermoplastic that is
polymerized from propylene and has a methyl group branching off of every
other carbon along its molecular backbone. Because the most common form of
polypropylene has the methyl groups all on one side of the carbon backbone,
polypropylene molecules tend to be highly aligned and compact, giving this
thermoplastic the properties of durability and chemical resistance. This
polyolefin is considered the most versatile of the plastic family which
explains its continuing and rapid increase in use.
Benefits and Properties
Polypropylene is a hydrocarbon that is distilled from the petroleum refining
process. Light, but strong and durable, it is thought to be one of the
cheapest and most versatile of all the thermoplastics. As a light weight
plastic, polypropylene exhibits a unique set of properties. Not only is it
fairly light, durable and impact resistant, it has a high melting point (327°
F/164° C), good electrical insulation properties, doesn't absorb water and is
highly resistant to aggressive chimicals. The combination of these properties
make it a popular and promising plastic for manufacturers.
- Excellent optical
clarity in biaxially oriented films and stretch blow molded containers
- Low moisture vapor
transmission
- Inertness toward

Applications for Recyled Polypropylene
Polypropylene is one of the most versatile resins on the market.. As
polypropylene suppliers, our products are used for a wide range of products
including polypropylene bags, luggage, carpeting, fiber, strapping,
containers, bags, packaging and tubing. Because of its unique properties,
recycled polypropylene is used by a wide range of industries to create
virtually an unlimited number of products. Most of these products are created
using the injection molding process and include everything from household
goods such as containers for yogurt, margarine, takeout meals, and deli
foods. It's also used to make medicine bottles, bottle caps and closures, and
bottles for ketchup and syrup. In addition to packaging, and mostly because
of its light weight, polypropylene is the only bags which floats. For this
reason, it is also very popular in the marine industry as pool markers and
water activities.
