Our Tolling Services
Tolling is the plastic recycling process of turning plastic scrap into a
resuable product. Once we break your plastic scrap down into usable pellets
or regrind, we can blend it with other materials, densify or pelletize it
according to your specifications. Our tolling services are broken down into
four major categories.
1. Grinding - The process of tolling invariably begins with the size
reduction of raw material. While there are a variety of granulation methods,
we typical use a granulator to grind down the plastic into usable regrind
form for further processing.
2. Densifying - We offer densifying services for thin plastic films
which are difficult to grind using conventional grinders/shredders.
3. Blending - We provide post blending of reprocessed resin/pellets
for uniform consistency using state of art silo blending techniques.
4. Pelletizing - In addition to size reduction, some of our customers
require their material pelletized. Our compounding facility is fully capable
of reprocessing your scrap plastics back into reusable pellets.
The Benefits of Toll Processing
There are many advantages to having your plastic material broken down,
grinded, densified, and pelletized back into reusable pellets and packaged by
a toll processor. For one thing, the process and equipment required to create
new plastic compounds might be new to your company or you lack that
particular capacity in your manufacturing facility. Using a tolling service
means you won't have to invest in new equipment, make room for it, or have to
hire and train new staff to operate the equipment. You may have also produced
polymer A for years for a specific market, but find that now you have a new
market if you can only grind it finer, dry it, blend it with another polymer
or package it differently. Using a third party toll processing company will
not only give you the capacity or processing method you need to meet the
demands of this new market, it can do so in a quick and efficient manner.
